Intellectual Property
Our intellectual property practice provides global advice on the
preparation and analysis of specific contracts involving authors’ rights,
such as, the distribution and marketing of software, the assignment of
software rights, and licensing contracts.
We also assist entities on trademark policy and registration,
including those related to the Internet, and on various aspects of
contracts for the transfer of technology and technical support, for
their registration with the National Institute of Intellectual Property
(INPI), and the Central Bank of Brazil (BACEN).
We regularly provide advice on the preparation of software licence
contracts for leading multinationals, potential patent breaches and
defence strategies against the breach of trademarks and utility models.
